OUR LOCATION

Fladda Chuain is located in the North of the Isle of Skye and offers panoramic views across the inner Minch towards the Outer Hebridean islands of Uist, Harris and Lewis to our guests. If you also plan to visit these islands, Fladda Chuain will be your perfect base being only 15 minutes from the Uig ferry. Our property is located close to many of the Islands popular tourist destinations such as The Old Man of Storr, Neist Point Lighthouse, The Quiraing and Dunvegan Castle.

 

For those wishing to dine there are several restaurants in the town of Uig including the Uig Hotel and the Ferry Inn. Uig also contains several shops where groceries can be purchased during your stay at our self catering accommodation. Fladda Chuain looks out on to stunning sea views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Our location is also very tranquil and is the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye near many of the popular tourist locations.

THE QUIRAING

The Quiraing is located to the North of the Isle of Skye and is a very scenic location looking towards the Trotternish Ridge. This area is very popular with filmmakers and photographers.

KILT ROCK WATERFALL

Kilt Rock is a popular viewpoint looking out across to the Sound of Raasay. Here you will see a waterfall running of a cliff face where amazing photographs can be taken.

NEIST POINT LIGHTHOUSE

Neist Point Lighthouse is located to the East of the Isle of Skye and is a very popular location with photographers due to amazing sunrises and sunsets that can be viewed here.

THE OLD MAN OF STORR

The Old Man of Storr is one of the most popular places to visit on the Isle of Skye and has a good easy path to climb to this iconic rock face. This location has also featured in many films.

THE FAIRY POOLS

The Fairy Pools are the most popular place to visit on the Isle of Skye. These pools of water are nestled below the famous Cuillin Mountain Range and offer amazing photograph opportunities.

Fladda Chuain is the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye with amazing sea views, private parking and a tranquil location. Our property is only a short drive from many of the islands popular tourist destinations such as The Old Man of Storr.

FLADDA CHUAIN

Fladda Chuain is a traditional cottage tastefully refurbished in 2017. The cottage is set in a rural crofting community in stunning North Skye. Fladda Chuain is named after a nearby small island and is our former family home. It is tastefully decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind. It sleeps up to 6 with 3 generous double bedrooms. There are private enclosed gardens with stunning panoramic views across the inner Minch towards the Outer Hebridean islands of Uist, Harris and Lewis. If you also plan to visit these islands, Fladda Chuain will be your perfect base being only 15 minutes from the Uig ferry. There is ample safe parking for 2 or more cars (please note a car is essential). The cottage is warm, cosy and well equipped throughout. The perfect base to explore the rugged and beautiful Trotternish Peninsula, arguably the most spectacular part of the Isle of Skye.
